Cat Footwear has added an oversized work boot to its acclaimed Invader collection.

Available now, the Invader Max is a boot that the brand explains was inspired by Caterpillar Inc.’s “heavy machinery” and is designed to “conquer any terrain.” Cat Footwear further says the Invader Max is the “ultimate fusion of bold style, comfort, and protection.”

To create the Invader Max, Cat Footwear explains it combined the “power of a bulldozer” with the “flexibility of a sneaker.” It features a composite safety toe cap for protection, as well as a tire-tread-style outsole that wraps around the heel, toe, and arch with anti-slip technology, which is meant to reduce the risk of slips on the job. It also features a contoured EVA midsole for comfort and protection, and is water-resistant to keep the wearer’s feet dry in wet conditions.

In terms of aesthetics, Cat Footwear says the Invader Max is designed with a “street edge,” in part due to its over-engineered hardware, chunky sole, and unique branding on the tongue. According to the brand, the boot should appeal to construction workers, mechanics, and those hanging out on New York City's Lower East Side.

"Our team set out to create a work boot that would redefine industry standards—not just push the boundaries, but completely break them," said Michael Boss, Cat Footwear brand marketing manager, in a statement. "The Invader Max truly embodies that vision. With its bold design and powerful protection, it stands out as a work boot that's ready to take on any challenge."

The Cat Footwear Invader Max is available now via Catfootwear.com and retails for $165. It's available now in three colors: Coffee Bean, Black, and Gargoyle.
