Converse and Milk Bar Are Letting Dessert-Lovers Customize Their Chuck Taylor All Star Sneakers
Converse and Milk Bar are celebrating the dessert bakery’s 16th anniversary by unveiling their first collaboration.
The Milk Bar x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is available now for customization through the Converse By You platform. Five different options are available for the shoe’s upper, including black denim and canvas in a “B’Day Sprinkle” pattern, as well as “Marshmallow Goo” white, “Cereal Milk” cream and “Cookies, No Cream” black. A number of printed or embroidered graphics can then be added throughout the sneaker, from Milk Bar’s logo cupcakes, cookies, smiley faces and more.
The midsole, which comes with Milk Bar’s logo on the left shoe, also has customization options including the text “Dessert Can Save the World,” while the insole can be upgraded for comfort with Converse’s CX foam for $10 extra.
Milk Bar founder Christina Tosi has considered a pair of red Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars her signature style since the early days of the bakery, when it operated as an extension of Momofuku in New York City’s East Village neighborhood.
The Milk Bar x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is available now through Converse’s website. Pricing is set at $95 for adults and $65 for kids.
