Following the success of its Adidas Samba Made in Germany collaboration in March, JJJJound is previewing another take on the sneaker in wheat.

The JJJJound x Adidas Samba makes its return in a tonal brown colorway in a hairy suede. Lighter brown suede makes up the majority of the upper, including the tongue, while a slightly darker hue forms the suede Striping as well as the laces. An even darker shade of brown is then used for the leather mustache and lining. Once again, JJJJound branding appears on the insole and in gold debossing where the “Samba” mark usually sits above the Three Stripes.

JJJJound, a blog known for its taste in minimalism as it transformed to a design studio, may have had its most polarizing moment in the spotlight via its initial capsule of Sambas earlier this year. At first glance, the sneakers appeared to be no different than their staple black-and-white and white-and-black editions, but Made-in-Germany construction took the price up to $250 a pair. While some saw it as confirmation of their criticism of JJJJound’s faint approach to design, other’s appreciated the boost in quality on a familiar arrangement.

The Samba is entering its third summer as one of the trendiest sneakers in the market, and Adidas is continuing to push the model through new collaborations that include Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami and Chinese designer Caroline Hu. Off the back of the shoe’s success, Adidas has also revived the updated Samba Millennium that originally launched in 2009.

The newest JJJJound x Adidas Samba doesn’t yet have a release date, but the creative studio announced the sneaker will release this summer. This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
