Denim brand Lee and luxury footwear brand Oliver Cabell have teamed up to create a limited-edition sneaker collection that blends denim craftsmanship with handmade shoemaking techniques, available August 22.

The low-top sneakers are made from distressed denim and Italian calfskin leather and feature a transparent Margom sole and cushioned insole. The shoes are available in two denim washes — light blue and dark blue — and retail for $269.

The shoe description reads: "The Lee x Oliver Cabell collection blends heritage and innovation to appeal to denim lovers and sneakerheads alike. Each pair of sneakers is meticulously handcrafted from distressed denim, paying homage to Lee's heritage while adding a touch of modern luxury."

"Oliver Cabell is known for crafting classic, versatile shoes that pair perfectly with Lee's denim. Nothing pairs better with premium jeans like the Lee 101Z than a pair of sneakers like these."

"Partnering with Lee allows us to push the boundaries of luxury footwear and create something truly unique for our customers," said Scott Gabrielson, founder of Oliver Cabell. "By combining our innovative shoemaking with Lee's iconic heritage, this collection is a testament to our shared commitment to quality craftsmanship and classic design."

The new shoes can be found at Lee.com, in US owned stores, and on Oliver Cabell's US and European websites.

Prior to the announcement of this collaboration, Oliver Cabell recently teamed up with TaylorMade to create a golf-themed sneaker collection, which was released on June 27. The brand originally launched in 2016, raising $1.2 million with the help of an anonymous donor, which allowed Oliver Cabell to enter the footwear market.

Describing its footwear aesthetic, the American brand told FN in 2017: "We're looking at some classic, timeless silhouettes - retro running shoes, low-tops, high-tops, pointy-toe shoes - and we're doing our own interpretation of each of them, using the approach and design that we take, which is more about texture and color rather than flashy designs. All of it is fairly minimalistic, but our goal is to really play with these silhouettes using a variety of textures, outsoles, colorways and other things. We're going to do some unique things like moccasins, pony hair, a lot of different textures and exotics."
