Nike’s Halloween Collection Grows With Spooky New Skull-Adorned Air Force 1s
Nike, Inc.’s 2024 Halloween collection is quickly becoming one of the company’s largest holiday collections, with releases across multiple brands including Jordan Brand, Nike Basketball, and Nike Sportswear. As the spooky season approaches, another shoe is joining the fast-growing collection.
This upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low features similar details to the Halloween-themed Nike Dunk Lows that appeared earlier this month, incorporating premium materials and 3D detailing. Images shared by Instagram user @jw0574 offer a glimpse at the upcoming release.
Unlike the brighter neon colors seen on the Dunk Low, the Air Force 1 Low features a darker colorway with a deep red cracked leather upper. The leather appears to have a worn effect, potentially revealing a lighter color underneath, but this feature has yet to be confirmed.
Matching the Dunk Low, the ’24 “Halloween” Air Force 1 Low features a plastic molded skull graphic that fills the entire toe box. This molded material is also used for the Swoosh logos on both sides of the shoe. Black waxed laces add a premium feel, which could indicate a higher-than-usual retail price.
While this large skull look is a new look for the Air Force 1, Nike has used skull themes on sneakers released for Halloween before. Starting in 2018, the Air Force 1 released in white with an X-ray-like skeletal foot graphic on the side. The concept was revisited with new colors such as black (2019), orange (2020), and purple (2021).
In addition to this newly released Nike Air Force 1 Low and the aforementioned Dunk Low, Nike's Halloween lineup this year also includes the "X-ray" Kobe 5 Protro, special colorways of Devin Booker and Ja Morant's signature sneakers, and an Air Jordan 1 Low with a glowing tongue.
As of press time, a release date has not been confirmed for this Nike Air Force 1 Low "Halloween" colorway, but readers can expect it to release in October. This article will be updated when more details are released.
