Salehe Bembury and Crocs will step into new territory at the end of May, as they release their first sneaker together.

The designer announced Monday on Instagram that his long-anticipated Crocs Juniper sneaker will release at the end of May in a “Guava” colorway. Bembury has been teasing the brand-new model since last fall, and it’ll become his fourth silhouette for Crocs, where he was named Creative Director for the Pollex line just over a year ago.

Although the Juniper’s materials haven’t been divulged in full, images show the shoe features an aggressive, translucent sole unit continuing the finger print that’s been central to Bembury’s Crocs footwear. A mixed material upper features a sock-like collar, which will give the shoe only a marginally less casual fit than his clogs and sandals.

Since launching their partnership in 2021 with the hit Pollex Clog, which marked the first time the brand let an outside designer create an entirely new silhouette, Bembury and Crocs have added Pollex Slide and upcoming Saru Clog models sharing the same design language. Because of the success of the line, they were recognized for Collection of the Year at the 2023 FN Achievement Awards.

Michelle Poole, the president of Crocs who will soon retire, said in her acceptance speech: “We could not ask for a more innovative and like-minded partner. Our original Pollex Clog introduced a new design language of form and function. This collection has given us new opportunities to do what Crocs does best by inviting new consumers to experience our comfort.”

The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Juniper “Guava” sneaker will release May 30. Further details including release channels and pricing have not yet been announced, but this post will be updated when more information is made available.
