Air Jordan 1 Low

Following our first look at a Halloween-themed Air Jordan 1 Low back in August, official product images of the upcoming sneaker have surfaced, revealing even more unique features of the detailed shoe.

From top to bottom, nearly every panel of the Air Jordan 1 Low “Halloween” has been meticulously designed to give the shoe a decidedly spooky seasonal look. Specifically, the shoe is inspired by insects, with webbed textures, fangs, and hyper-aware eyes throughout the design. The predominantly black colorway is embellished with an iridescent flame-like pattern on the base and finished off with a glow-in-the-dark outsole. However, the shoe’s most intriguing element is the glowing eyes on the tongue, which can be turned on or off with the touch of a button.

Initially thought to be inspired by spiders and even Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname, Nike’s official product images reveal a new detail in the form of a holographic card that’s packaged with the sneaker. The image depicts a fanged, winged insect that some sources have dubbed the “Fortune Fly,” but Jordan Brand has yet to confirm this backstory.

This Air Jordan 1 Low is far from the only Halloween sneaker readers will want to keep an eye on. This month, Nike will release an equally spooky Zoom Vomero 5, as well as Air Force 1 Lows and Dunk Lows emblazoned with skulls. On the basketball side of things, the Nike Book 1 and just-released Nike Ja 2 are set to receive Halloween-inspired colorways.

As we all know, this Air Jordan 1 Low “Halloween” will be released exclusively in elementary school sizing, making it a solid choice for kids this fall. Featuring a full “Black/Green Frost/Black Raspberry/Green Strike” colorway and an SKU of HQ3442-001, the sneaker is expected to retail for $120 and release sometime in October.

As fall approaches, yet another Halloween-themed sneaker has surfaced that should please Air Jordan 1 enthusiasts.

Leaked images from reseller @prvt.selection offer a first look at the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low “Halloween.” The shoe is detailed and mixes multiple materials, perfect for the spooky season. There’s ultra-plush suede, a spiderweb print on the toe box, and iridescent detailing on the heel.

Even the rope-like laces are textured to evoke spiderwebs. The standout feature, though, is the glow-in-the-dark eyeball detailing on each tongue. All in all, this kind of detailing is usually reserved for special releases like collaborations, so don’t be surprised if these shoes are in high demand come October.

In addition to this offering from Jordan Brand, some of Nike, Inc.’s other Halloween footwear plans have surfaced ahead of time. Nike Basketball will be giving Kobe Bryant’s Kobe 5 Protro sneakers an “X-ray” makeover complete with glow-in-the-dark bone graphics.

A reflective spiderweb-printed Nike Dunk Low will also be dropping in October, while Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Giannis Freak 6 will also be getting an orange makeover. Given that Halloween is a popular holiday for sneaker releases, there will surely be at least a few Halloween silhouettes released between now and then.

No release date has been confirmed for this Air Jordan 1 Low “Halloween” yet, but readers can expect it to hit stores sometime in October.
